About

Who we are

Two owners, fifteen independent professionals, one bright room in Hales Corners.

Our story

It started with two brunettes and a lot of opinions about hair

AT.hair & co. began as a duo. Amanda and Tracy, two brunettes with a genuine passion for hair, and a shared idea about how a salon should feel: bright, welcoming, and built around the people doing the work. The AT in the name is simply their initials.

What began as a duo grew. Today the salon is a collaboration of independently owned small businesses, fifteen stylists and beauty professionals who each run their own book, set their own services, and choose to work side by side here. It has become one of the most prominent spots in Hales Corners, and the standard has not moved: quality work, real professionalism, and clients who leave looking stunning and feeling their best.

What began as a duo has grown into a roof shared by independent professionals.

How we work

Independent, on purpose

Every provider at AT.hair & co. is an independent business owner. That is not a technicality, it is the model. It means the person in your chair answers to you, not to a corporate service menu. It also means a few practical things worth knowing before you book.

  • 01

You book with your provider, not with the salon

Each professional has their own direct number and their own online booking page. There is no shared front desk line.

  • 02

Services and pricing are set by each provider

Your provider will walk you through exactly what your appointment includes and what it costs before you sit down.

  • 03

    By appointment only

Hours are set by each provider around their own clients, so we do not keep walk-in hours.

  • 04

    One roof, many specialties

Hair, skin and lashes, massage therapy, and independently operated nurse providers all work out of this building.

Every provider’s services, hours, and pricing are their own, so your provider is always the best person to ask about the details of your appointment.

The space

Designed to be comfortable, not precious

The salon is light-filled and warm: polished concrete floors, warm white walls, brass sputnik chandeliers, arched brass mirrors, and reclaimed-wood stations. The lounge has a navy velvet chesterfield, cognac leather sling chairs, a cowhide rug, and a fiddle-leaf fig that is doing fine, thanks. Help yourself to coffee with flavored syrups, a cookie, or a cold drink from the fridge. There is Wi-Fi. The shampoo area has two reclining chairs, a towel warmer, warm rolled towels, and a blue neon sign that says Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
